| LUTETIUM NITRATE HYDRATE Usage And Synthesis |
Uses | Lutetium Nitrate is the important raw materials for laser crystal, and also have specialized uses in ceramics, glass, phosphors, lasers. It is the ideal host for x-ray phosphors because it produces the densest known white material, Lutetium Tantalate(LuTaO4). Stable Lutetium can be used as catalysts in petroleum cracking in refineries and can also be used in alkylation, hydrogenation, and polymerization applications.
| Uses | Lutetium nitrate [Lu(NO3)3] is a fire and explosion hazard when heated. | Uses | Lutetium(III) nitrate hydrate is used in ceramics, glass, phosphors and in lasers. It finds application as a catalyst in petroleum cracking and to prepare laser crystal. Further, it is used in hydrogenation, alkylation and polymerization reactions. |
