Chemical Properties | very dark blue crystalline powder | Purification Methods | Wash it well with H2O and boiling EtOH and sublime it at high vacuum in a slow stream of CO2. A special apparatus is used (see reference), with the phthallocyanine being heated to red heat. The sublimate is in the form of needles with an extremely bright red lustre.
