| Acid-PEG6-mono-methyl ester Usage And Synthesis |
Description | Acid-PEG6-mono-methyl ester is a PEG linker containing a terminal carboxylic acid and a methyl ester group. The carboxylic acid can react with primary amine groups in the presence of activators such as EDC and HATU to form stable amide bonds. The hydrophilic PEG linkers increase the water solubility of a compound in aqueous media. The water solubility properties of the PEG chain are enhanced with longer PEG chains. |
