General DescriptionPolyethylenimine (PEI) is polymer with positive charge density. It has various uses like in water purification, paper industry, to remove nucleic acids from protein solutions and many more. This polymer was first used in DNA and oligonucleotides delivery. It may also be used as transfection reagent. Silica gels are chemically modified with PEI to be used as sorbent. PEI stabilizes high surface area solid to adsorb CO2.
