The mixture was diluted with EtOAc and washed with saturated aqueous NaHCO3. The organic layer was dried over MgSO4, filtered, and concentrated. The crude product 2-Benzylamino-2-methyl-1-propanol (1.247 g, 6.96 mmol, 62 % yield) was used without further purification. LCMS (m/z): 180.0 (M+H+). |
