| SODIUM PERCHLORATE MONOHYDRATE Usage And Synthesis |
Description | Sodium perchlorate monohydrate is the inorganic compound with the chemical formula NaClO4•H2O. It is the commom existence form of sodium perchlorate, which can gradualy absorbe water in the air to form the monohydrate. Sodium perchlorate monohydrate is white rhombic crystal and highly soluble in water and in alcohol. It is a stronge oxidiser and may cause damage to organs through prolonged or repeated exposure. It is a chaotropic agent used in standard DNA extraction and hybridization reactions in molecular biology. It is widely utilized as a deproteinization agent during nucleic acid synthesis. It can also be used as a chemical sensitizing agent for some modern commercial explosives products.
