Usespalmitoyl oligopeptide is a synthetic peptide used in anti-aging products. It is intended to enhance the appearance of dry, flaky, or damaged skin, and to restore skin suppleness. It is also said to reduce the appearance of wrinkles as well as repair age-related skin problems by stimulating collagen production. It is obtained through a chemical reaction between palmitic acid and a synthetic peptide that contains two or more of the following amino acids: alanine, arginine, aspartic acid, glycine, histidine, lysine porline, serine, or valine.
