Chemical Properties | Hard, rigid, transparent solid. Tensile
strength 10,000 psi,flexural strength 15,000
psi, good electrical resistance, minimum creep, low
expansion coefficient. Soluble in aromatic hydro-
carbons, ketones, and chlorinated hydrocarbons;
resistant to corrosive acids and alkalies, heat, oxida-
tion, detergents, oils, and alcohols. Dimensionally
stable over the temperature range ?100 to +148C;
tends to absorb moisture, readily processed and fab-
ricated. Combustible but self-extinguishing.
