| Chondroitin sulfate sodium salt Usage And Synthesis |
Chemical Properties | White or almost white, hygroscopic powder. soluble in water. Insoluble in acetone, ethanol and other organic solvents. The aqueous solution is viscous, and the viscosity decreases when acid or alkali is added. It has ion exchange property, and can form various metal salts with cations to precipitate. Hydrolyze with 5mol/L hydrochloric acid at 37°C for 3 hours, and lose sulfuric acid to form chondroitin. Sodium chondroitin sulfate is extracted from shark bone. | Occurrence | Chondroitin sulfate sodium salt is widely distributed in the extracellular matrix and cell surface of animal tissues, including the cartilage of cattle, pigs, and chickens. | Uses | Acid mucopolysaccharide; treatment of osteoarthritis. | Uses | Chondroitin Sulfate Sodium Salt, is a sulfated glycosaminoglycan (GAG) and an important structural component of cartilage. | Application | Chondroitin Sulfate Sodium may be used as a pharmaceutical secondary reference standard for the determination of the analyte in pharmaceutical formulations by size-exclusion and ion-pair high-performance liquid chromatography(HPLC) method. |
