Uses | Transfer RNA (tRNA) has been used in in vitro probe transcription for in situ hybridization. | General Description | Transfer RNA (tRNA) are responsible for amino acid transport and the correct reading frame in protein biosynthesis. The knowledge of their tertiary structure and interactions with proteins and ribosomes is important for the understanding of mechanisms involved in protein biosynthesis. The tRNA is added as a competitor to pre- and hybridization solution to prevent nonspecific binding of the probe. This product is also tested for the absence of RNase according to the current Quality Control procedures. 1mg of dry substance corresponds to 21 A260 units. |
