Colorless or slightly amber liquid (aqueous
solution).Forms a soluble glass on
evaporation, pH of solution 0.8, reacts with alkalies
to form hydrous zirconia; contains 20% zirconia.
Uses
Pharmaceuticals, deodorants, precipitation of
acid dyes, water repellents for textiles.
Safety Profile
A human skin irritant.
When heated to decomposition it emits
toxic fumes of Cl-. Used as an
