Uses | Antioxidant, stabilizer, or polymerization
inhibitor. | General Description | Yellowish to amber pellets, powder or flakes or beige powder. Slight odor. Insoluble in water; miscible with ethanol, acetone, benzene, monochlorobenzene, isopropyl acetate, and gasoline.
| Reactivity Profile | Accelerated stability studies indicate that Poly(1,2-dihydro-2,2,4-trimethylquinoline) is unstable when stored at 140° F for 2 weeks, protected from light. Acetone solutions are stable for 3 weeks in the dark at room temperature. Solutions in acetone stored for 3 hours open to air and light are also stable.
