Chemical PropertiesCanadian fir needle oil (balsam fir oil) is produced in Canada and in several northern states of the United States, fromneedles and twigs of Abies balsamea (L.) Mill. It is an almost colorless to pale yellow liquid with a pleasant balsamic odor.
