BISMUTH ALUMINATE Usage And Synthesis
DescriptionBismuth aluminate is a decahydrate. It is an extremely light powder, almost insoluble alkaline substance in water. It is generally prepared by the reaction of sodium aluminate and bismuth nitrate.
UsesBismuth aluminate is mainly used as an antacid, with neutralizing stomach acid and astringent effects
ApplicationBismuth aluminate can isolate gastric acid, enzymes and food from eroding the damaged mucosa, and is beneficial to the repair and healing of damaged tissues or ulcers; it also binds to normal mucosal proteins, but the binding amount is very small. In addition, this product can combine with pepsin and bile salts to protect the gastric mucosa; in addition, they can also chelate with pepsin to inactivate it.
