7H-DIBENZO[C,G]CARBAZOLE Usage And Synthesis
Chemical PropertiesYellow Crystalline Solid
UsesA heterocyclic aromatic compound with potent mutagenic and carcinogenic properties.
DefinitionChEBI: 7H-Dibenzo[c,g]carbazole is a member of carbazoles.
General DescriptionCrystalline solid.
Reactivity Profile7H-DIBENZO[C,G]CARBAZOLE neutralizes acids in exothermic reactions to form salts plus water. May be incompatible with isocyanates, halogenated organics, peroxides, phenols (acidic), epoxides, anhydrides, and acid halides. May generate hydrogen, a flammable gas, in combination with strong reducing agents such as hydrides.
Safety ProfileConfirmed carcinogen with experimental carcinogenic, neoplastigenic, and tumorigenic data. Poison by intraperitoneal route. Mutation data reported. When heated to decomposition it emits toxic fumes of NOx.
